Go live (OBS / RTSP)

Milked Live accepts a live video feed two ways: RTMP (what broadcasting apps like OBS use) or RTSP (used by some cameras and other broadcast tools). Both push video into the ingest server, which then serves it to viewers on the site.

Option A: OBS Studio (RTMP)

1. Open OBS → Settings → Stream.
2. Set Service to Custom....
3. Set Server to rtmp://stream.milked.live/live.
4. Set Stream Key to your key (ask the owner for yours — keep it private, anyone with it can broadcast as you).
5. Click Start Streaming. It appears on the site within a few seconds.

Option B: RTSP source (cameras, other tools)

Point your RTSP-capable device or software at:

rtsp://stream.milked.live:8554/live/<your-stream-key>

Replace <your-stream-key> with your key. Most IP cameras and tools like ffmpeg (ffmpeg -i input -f rtsp rtsp://...) accept this as a push destination.

Notes

• Only push with a real stream key — do not share it outside the team.
• The stream is live-only: nothing is recorded or saved on our end.
• If viewers see “Stream offline,” check that OBS/your tool shows a connected, active output first.
